We wrapped up our spread for Artism late last night. With very little time we picked a concept and ran with it. While the cause for Autism is still pretty much a mystery, birth defects can definitely play a significant role. To that affect we focused on teratology agents (things that can cause birth defects). We highlighted the 4 main categories ionizing radiation, infections, metabolic imbalances and drugs and environmental chemicals. We quickly developed a system to represent everything in the long list (47 to be exact) and tore through wikipedia.

We hope our piece raises awareness for Autism and is easy on the eyes. Take a look!
