DWR WHITE SPACE - TONIGHT!!!
24.10.08

The third annual White Space goes off tonight, sponsored by the DWR Boulder Studio to benefit the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art. Emerging local artists, featuring Alex Henry, Laura Moretz, Scot Lefavor, Melanie Yazzie, Alvin Gregorio and Julia Lunk, will participate in a two-hour live art session. Watch as each artist transforms a blank white canvas into a work of art. Like what you see? Bid on the completed works during the evening’s wonderfully competitive silent auction. All proceeds plus your $5 suggested donation will support the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art. Boulder’s own Vodka Fourteen (www.vodka14.com) and Boulder Beer (www.boulderbeer.com) will provide libations.

October 26, 8:53 am SNL: Don Draper’s Guide to Picking up Women. (Step 4 is key) | elephant journalThanks ya’ll for coming. It was a great event this year. The completed works are hanging at the Boulder Musem of Contemporary Art through Saturday, Nov 1st. They look awesome, go check em out!
October 28, 9:21 am Ryan Batch[...] DWR’s White Space, benefitting the Boulder Museum of Contemporary art, featured Alex Henry, Laura Moretz, Scot Lefavor, Melanie Yazzie, Alvin Gregorio and Julia Lunk provided for a super arty and entertaining evening. A big thanks goes out to Ryan Batch for pulling the event together and in tip-top form. All of the participating artists kicked out great pieces of work in roughly two and a half hours, barring Lefavor of course, who was only about an hour late (not that Scot’s famous timing hindered his work…). The silent auction raised a solid chunk of loot for the museum and six people went home with nice new pieces. While I’m biased and love most anything my design/business partner, Alex and pals Scot and Alvin produce I gotta say Mr. Gregorio took the cake on this one. When it comes to producing live art, preparation is king. Have a look. This SimpleViewer gallery requires Macromedia Flash. Please open it in your browser or get Macromedia Flash here.
