Denver by Design is a series of events and exhibitions taking place in the Mod Livin’ showroom during the month of August. The most exciting will be the DENVER BY DESIGN competition, a juried contest to select the best modern design object, art or furniture created by a Colorado designer. Our goals are two-fold; to bring attention to up and coming talent and to focus on the influence of modern design in our community.
The deadline is July 10th, 2009. In August, a winning design will be selected by the judges for a $1000 prize. Sorry for posting this up so late… but we’ve still got a few days to make magic happen right?!

cypher13 has officially completed 2 all new signature graphic patterns. Both of these patterns will grace the top-sheet and base surfaces of the 2009 Get Loose model for Avenue Snowboards. Pattern #1 is aptly named DICKS. Pattern #2 likes to be called TITS. Some of the design process can be seen here. Enoy.

Awesome proposal from Joseph Prichard to improve bike signage and hopefully encourage more people to ride.
“The BETTER BIKEWAYS project is a proposal for comprehensive bicycle route signage reform. Effective wide-spread signage can be a powerful tool in convincing people to take up cycling as a mode of transportation. It is also a cost-effective element that can greatly increase the functionality of any bikeway. Unfortunately all too often the role of signage is overlooked during the design of new bicycle routes.”
