When the Haiti Poster Project invited us to produce a piece to help them reach their fundraising goal of $1,000,000.00 for Doctors Without Borders we leapt at the opportunity.  We spent a solid block of time on concept and settled on a typographic statement imbued with positive vibrations and seven colors of ink. We reached to our friend Ray McDermott at Good Thoughts 4 All and got down to business on the ole automatic.  Here’s a little peak between screens four and five and five and six.  More soon.

I’ve posted about ‘We Live in Public‘ a couple of times over the last year. On March 1 it becomes available on VOD/DVD. I’ve said it before and will say it again, if your at all using social media (FB, Twitter, etc.), you have a responsibility to see this film. If you have teenagers, or work with middle/high school students you want them to see this movie. If working in advertising/marketing, or want to, it’s for you as well. This film helps us understand the cultural significance of living in a world dominated by personal technology devices. You will not think the same after seeing it…

On March 1st, in celebration of our VOD/DVD release, WE LIVE IN PUBLIC will be screened simultaneously in theaters worldwide!  The screenings will be followed by a webcasted in-theater Q&A with director Ondi Timoner and the always-controversial star of our documentary, Josh Harris, live from a pod in Chicago (if you’ve seen WLIP you’ve remember the sleeping pods from the bunker?).  Concurrent screenings and Q&As will take place in LA, Denver, Chicago, New York and Atlanta, and we are thrilled that Adrian Grenier (Entourage) will be live with the audience in New York and Eliza Dushku will be hosting the affair in LA.   All of the cities will be linked to one another and webcast live on weliveinpublicthemovie.com.  Webcast starts at 5:30 PM PST, with screenings starting at 6 PM in LA, & 7PM in Denver, 8pm in Chicago, and 9pm in NY & Atlanta. Less than two weeks away – Submission Deadline is March 1, 2010 to be considered for exhibition inclusion. Creatives of all shapes & sizes in various stages of artistic career & development are encouraged to submit. Sandra and Lisa shed some light on what you can expect from both submitting to and attending the event. The Project Hello crew has also worked up a Facebook page to keep us all in the know.

On Saturday, February 20th PechaKucha events will be held simultaneously across the globe.  The Denver edition will be held at the MCA.  This special edition of PechaKucha will serve as a fundraiser for Architecture for Humanity to assist in the rebuilding of Haiti.  In typical PechaKucha fashion presenters will take the audience through 20 images using only 20 seconds to describe each image.  In this particular edition of PechaKucha, 2000 presentations will occur in 200 cities, reaching roughly 200,000 people worldwide – in a collective effort to rebuild a nation 20 seconds at a time.

Wake up sleepy giants… it’s time to gather up all the flammables and light Denver on fire this weekend. There are a handful of rad events over the next few days, and all are all relatively close to each other making it more than a possibility to blaze through them all. This Friday is none other than Fresh Friday…. Both Larimer and Broadway will be heating up with art shows and such. And… I highly encourage all to swing through Cervantes on Saturday… as I’ll be doing the electric boogaloo and a few Pelvic Thrust Uppercuts™ whilst enjoying some supple beats. Second Saturday Sangria served up on the Super Block this Saturday January 9th. We’re pretty damned pleased to help announce the release of the Josh Keyes catalogue for Sprout, his exhibition at the David B.
