Clipse ft. Pharrell - “I’m Good”

I remember hearing ‘Grinding’ and those famed opening lyrics “Top Down Chrome Spinning” and instantly becoming a fan of Clipse.   In September they release their third album ‘Till the Casket Drops.’   ‘I’m Good’ is the second single they have put out for the album the first being ‘Kinda Like a Big Deal’ which features Kanye West and is a beast of a track. ‘I’m Good’ features Pharrell and that Neptunes sound of the past.  Kaws as he did for Kanye lends his artwork  to Clipse for this single.   Hip Hop has some good music coming out for the latter part of the year with Kid Cudi’s album in August then Clipse in September.  When people tell me hip hop is dead, I beg to differ.

Flosstradamus Interview

Recently I had the opportunity to interview two of the dopest dudes and dj’s, Curt and Josh of Flosstradamus.  I met these guys last year at Rock the Bells and after seeing them perform had a brief conversation basically saying that they needed to come back again.  Well they did, my friends and I danced like crazy, and I got a chance to catch up with them.  2009 has been a good year for them and there is much more to come from these two.  For thier mix entitled “3 peat” click here,  and for thier latest single with Caroline Polacheck from Chairlift entitled “Big Bills”  click here.  Enjoy!!!!

Stagga drops some of the dirtiest, darkest dubstep tracks I’ve ever heard. I’m not usually really into Dubstep, but when a good track comes around I can’t stop listening. Sometimes a new piece of music is all I need to crank through a day on the creative front, or completely waste it searching for more of their tracks. Either way, win situation for me. Hope ya dig…

Interview with Asher Roth

I recently had the chance to interview Asher Roth.  I came upon him via his mixtape entitled “The Greenhouse Effect,” with Don Cannon and DJ Drama, which is off the hook!!!  You can download the mixtape for free by clicking the link above.   One thing I can say from hearing his music is his skills are undeniable, second and more importantly, with Asher Roth, what you see is what you get.  He is a truly down to earth and humble artist, and it’s those qualities along with his skill that will keep him around for a minute.
