FATE ‘07 STREETWEAR

By: JoyEngine

EHF Collective & the JoyEngine / Cypher13 team rallied hard on a quick collaboration with Alan Ortiz & FATE in prepartion for SIA. FATE’s bringin’ an almost entirely hand-drawn style to the table this year – with the Exceptions of Lefavor’s last minute FATE-Rubix edition. Sick right, right?

FATE

By: Lucian Foehr

FATE’S outerwear is super dope. Alan Ortiz,s the founder and lead designer created FATE to “feed his soul”. And, that’s exactly what Alan does with his brand, he feed’s his soul, and everyone elses that’s down with the FATE vibe. Alan is one of my favorite people and he’s on my personal rad-designer, innovator, renaissance man list (it’s a long list, but Alan’s at the top).

The best part of this blurb is that Alan popped in to the shop while I was in middle of writing it. He showed up with his ‘07′/’08 pattern samples – most def. Alan collab’d on his ‘07/’08 patterns with our homey Kluver, Markham “Shitty Kitten” Maes, and me, TB. We all had a blast workin’ on the new patterns and they came out even better than expected. Check ‘em out below.

The current FATE puffer aka the “RECON” down. I’ve been rockin’ this puppy this winter and can honestly say it’s one of FATE’s best products to date from both a functional and a design standpoint. You can peep this jacket and others at fateclothing.com. The FATE website is one of many Ortiz/Dogtaildesign/Cypher13 collabs over the past few years. In 2004 Alan, myself, Ålex, and Alan’s cousin, Dave, collab’d on some really hot web graphics. You can check ‘em below. Power 2 people that do shit.
