I just finished an identity and simple blog redesign for Casey Keasler over at K.I.D. Collective! Along with an identity and site redesign, I created an icon set to represent the span of topics she covers on her blog, as well as her skills as an individual. Everything from her personal design projects, like landscaping and interior design, to her recipes and current music favs. Check her out!

I was recently asked by Salih Kucukaga to do an interview with Grafik Tasarim, a Turkish design magazine. AND the issue is finally out!, so I thought I’d share the Q&A here. Enjoy!

Firstly, can you tell me about yourself for GT readers? Who is Celeste Prevost?
I’m a designer/illustrator currently living in Minneapolis working at Zeus Jones. I’m originally from Colorado where I attended the Art Institute of Colorado and received my BFA in graphic design. Had a couple internships, freelanced at a few studios in the Denver area and was later offered a position at Zeus Jones. I spend the majority of my free time consumed by the internet and if not by the internet then I’m off working on some idea or collaborating with friends and/or my husband Rob.
You have so many brilliant works in your portfolio. Clean and strong use of typography. How did you get interested in typography?
Signage has always inspired me and to this day is some of my favorite typography. I also have this strange obsession with reading labels… constantly and often the same labels multiple times, not sure how that relates. I also love hand-drawn type it has so much personality which I really enjoy.

Celeste Prevost, aka designisfine, recently asked me to design a tattoo for her. I just finished up the first mock up last night. Lets see what she thinks!

Our pal and co-conspirator in all things art & design related, Rob Angermuller, aka Lifter Baron was recently brought on by Minneapolis creative powerhouse, Sevnthsin. Rob will be formally joining the super-talented crew in mid-may and coming on as a Sr. Designer. Yeah boyee! The loss of Rob and his designer/partner/lady-friend Celeste was a significant one to our little arty community, but their recent move to MN seems to be proving fruitful. One man’s loss is often anothers gain, and we’re confident that Rob & Celeste will be upping the ante out in MN. In a day and age where anyone and everyone with an Apple computer thinks they’re a designer, it’s quite refreshing to find a super-functional couple, both with Apple computers, formal design training, and real fucking skills. You guys rock. You can keep up with Rob & Celeste (and one of our favorite local design talents and all around awesome dude, Josh Wills) and their graphically inspired adventures on their blog, becausweliketo.
