C13 x INKMONSTR IPHONE/IPOD TOUCH WRAPS

By: Lucian Foehr

CSS X iPHONE EMAIL SIGNATURES

By: Lucian Foehr

Something Norm Shearer of Cactus said at the Applied Ideas talk inspired me to share this with you all.  Not to say that this is earth shattering shit, but it can brighten up your and your client’s inboxes.

Here it is:

The whole thing is optimized (in particular) for iPhones. For example, if you get this baby on your iPhone, clicking on the address will open up the Map app, clicking on the phone number will prompt a call and so on…

Be warned that this signature is not compatible will all email clients, but if you write everything right the information will still come through.

So here’s the code!

<style>
p {font-size:11px; color:#666;}
a {color:#666; text-decoration:none;}
a:hover {color:#EF5BA1; text-decoration:none;}
</style>

All About The Composition: iPhone Photography

By: Justin Cline

I’ve been getting into photography lately, I have seen the amazing images one can capture and create… and the amount of money you can invest. I own 3 cameras now and this lil gem is about the “lowest-end” one.

Since the iPhone came out, one of the cons was its rather poor camera. While I can support that claim, I have to admit I have gotten some ‘descent’ images out of it (if I don’t move, and the lighting is perfect, and, and…).

I just came across this site and love the idea. Check out Just What I See: The iPhone photography of Greg Schmigel.  He has produced some amazing images with his phone; It’s been very inspiring to see what an artist can do w/ a *cough* basic camera and a great eye.

JOYENGINE MEETS APPLE

By: Alex Henry

We still can’t believe it. Lucian just plucked one of Todd chest hairs to verify that we aren’t all dreaming. Apple recently asked us if we would participate in their designer icon series. Oh, and it doesn’t take long to steer the giant ship that is Apple, the JoyEngine icon is already available – up for you to get! Apple is joining the expanding market of artist collaborations. They selected a range of designers, fashion companies, and art and culture organizations to render their logo into an Apple-Touch-Icon. That means you can put the JoyEngine logo on your iPhone as part of the new 1.1.3 software updated released this week. More specifically, it allows you to put the icon on your iPhone desktop as a web bookmark. TRY IT!!! It really does work. Just go to JoyEngine.com on your iPhone, wait for the whole page to load, then select the bookmark option and make it a bookmark on your desktop. Incredible, or as they say in German, unglaublich, it’s only featured on the Apple website in German. We’ll take being next to Kidbot, even if it’s in German.
