We’ve been doing a lot of work with Limited Addiction Gallery lately, including all the JUX ads and flyers. It’s pretty great compiling all the awesome art month to month.
Matt Curry and Robert Hardgrave are showing this month. The show opens this Saturday, September 16th at 7pm and the artists will be in attendance. You can check out the work on the LAG site. And be sure to stop by and see it in person!

Gregory Euclide will be showing some seriously stunning new works at Denver’s Limited Addiction Gallery this Thursday and Friday evening. If you’re not familiar with Gregory’s work or his background, here’s a little info via LAG on the artist, his work, and his up’coming opening… “Limited Addiction Gallery proudly presents a solo exhibition of new works by Minneapolis-based artist Gregory Euclide; it will be the artist’s first in Denver. For his new series Euclide continues to explore the delicate dichotomy between urban and natural experiences through themes of protection and preservation of our environment. Euclide will create a site-specific installation that experiments with process and material, including large-scale sculptural works and studies of the illusion and actuality of space. The exhibition will be on view from Friday, June 6 through Sunday, June 29th with a special preview reception and opening for the artist held on Thursday, June 5 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event marks Limited Addiction Gallery’s first weeknight opening, and will provide an intimate experience for viewers interested in a first look at the show and an opportunity to meet the artist in person. ”
This opening looks pretty mind-blowing and certainly worthy of a visit. It’s only Monday, so plan accordingly…
Here’s a little preview of Gregory’s installation and some of his latest works.

The lovely folks over at Limited Addiction Gallery just put up the pieces for their next show, Grant Barnhart, Saiman Chow and AJ Fosik. I’m personally super stoked to see AJ’s wood cut animal heads. The only other one I’ve seen in person was back in the day at The Friends Show. For those of you who don’t know, AJ’s studio used to be in the basement of Andenken, but he’s since moved on. You can see the rest of the work here and be sure to check out the opening on Friday the 22nd.

Jason Thielke has cemented and repeatedly reaffirmed his place amongst todays leading progressive contemporary artists. He did it again on Saturday, January 12th at Limited Addiction Gallery and we were all there to see it. The whole crew was out, extra-inspired, and aligned in full support of Jason. Frankly, the whole evening was pretty special. A big thanks and fat props go out to Dave Smith and the whole LAG team for supporting Jason and hosting a spectacular exhibition of his work. Have a look at how it all went down…

PSiLOVEU, Jason Thielke’s latest body of work opens tomorrow night at Denver’s own Limited Addiction Gallery. We just spoke with Dave Smith, good bro and the owner/curator at LAG and according to Dave, Jason’s show is off to a spectacular start!!! Thielke and LAG teamed up to produce a limited edition, signed and numbered run of 25 giclee prints on hahnemuhle velvet paper. The prints are already sold out… and they just dropped yesterday! Dave has held on to 5 prints for the opening and they’ll be available first come, first serve at 7pm on Saturday night.
The response to Thielke’s latest round of figurative work has been overwhelming, to say the least. We just took a lookat LAG’s site and lots of Jason’s work has already sold. It’s going fast. We can’t convey how excited we are for both Jason and LAG, two of the more significant and iconic entities gracing our local art landscape. Their partnership represents some of the best of the best happening in contemporary art. Period. We’ve speculated since Dave offered Jason this show as to just how significant it could be, and we’re pleased to announce it’s set to exceed all expectation. Congrats guys. Nice work.

Got distracted for a sec and jumped over to limitedaddictiongallery.com to see if Dave had posted pics of the 4 live collab panels Blain Fontana, Tim McCormick, James Naccarato and Jophen Stein had started at their opening on last Friday. Sure enough, they were there and well worth the jump. Have a look and enjoy.

The Josh Keyes and Oliver Vernon ehibition opems tonight at Limited Addiction Gallery. Both artists have come together to share their unique perspective and narrative of the world in which we live. This is gonna be one “HOT-HOT” show by two of our favorite artists, and for good reason.
Here’s a little lo-down on both Josh and Oliver straight from Limited Addiction’s site, “Like an archeologist, Josh Keyes isolates narrative scraps from the world and places them in the void of the canvas to see what they might become. The images are meant to have a diagrammatic quality that arises from his desire to see things more clearly. Though often steeped in satire, Josh’s drawings and paintings are also suffused with a sincere admiration of our planet. His altered landscapes reveal both the intricacy of the earth as a system and the complexity of our response to the natural world, while retaining a sense of specificity and intimacy. Keyes is interested in creating psychological narratives set in closed systems that express the behavior of and the interaction between humans and animals. The dystopian model creates a dynamic playing field where he can experiment with these ideas and forms.
Keyes has drawn upon a number of recent life experiences for this body of work. The artist views this subject matter as a positive turning point in the wake of his past few exhibitions, which have touched upon darker underlying themes.
Oliver Vernon’s imagery stems from his imagination through a process of spontaneous composition. The artist’s layered environments infuse concepts of space, motion and form with unique architechtural vision. He depicts the simultaneity of microcosmic and macrocosmic perspectives, as well as exploring themes of biology, physics, mythology and ancient visionary wisdom. Vernon’s open-ended approach challenges the viewer to project meaning from their own experience.
For this exhibition, Vernon has channeled significant inspiration from his recent travels in Europe. A number of the works were conceived and completed in his studio in the heart of Zurich. The clean and natural aesthetic of the city served as a launch pad for this new minimalist approach that the artist has infused into his distinct style.”
If you’re into art and in Denver tonight Limited Addiction Gallery is where you wanna be. Yep. Yep.

Last Friday Limited Addiction Gallery held a stellar show with three super rad artists. Reuben Rude, Plankton Art Co. and Bwana Spoons were in effect. The gallery was full of hot art, so hot the temperature was like whoa! Kim & Dave ran shit like pros and sold almost the entire show out before the opening. Of course this was with the help of none other than the stunning talent of the artists themselves. Reuben had close to twenty pieces, all were totally masterful. Bwana Spoons had his whole steelo in effect, with a huge mural and a little installation piece too. Plankton Art Co. had a grip of awesome pieces that covered almost the right half of the space. I think all of the artists were in attendance as well, which of course makes the whole experience that much more exciting. You know the more I think about all of it, the less I want to talk about it. I hate making these posts sound like reviews and critiques, they are not supposed to. So please take that with a grain of salt. Instead of over explaining myself, just take a look at what you might have missed, and I hope to see you at the next one.
