THE KAT’S PAJAMAS: RECAP

By: JoyEngine

It was a treacherous, snowy night but the idea of unseen paintings by Markham “Shitty Kitten” Maes was more than enough motivation for us. As always Shitty killed it. He broke out some gems from the past and made some new pieces that will go down in the history books. The venue was was pretty crazy. About 30min into the show some serious drum ‘n bass djs got on the decks and (literally) shook the house. There were many more pieces than we have pictures, but our battery crapped out mid way through. If we all cross our fingers, JoyEngine might get to show any pieces that didn’t sell. Oh, and that last picture is totally one of sAne’s pieces printed out and taped to the shitter, awesome!

ART TRADE!

By: JoyEngine

First off we’d like to say congrats to Markham “Shitty Kitten” Maes and Shantell for their new child, and welcome to Johan Markham Maes! Shitty dropped by the office last night to pick up some old pieces that he’s going to rework for an upcoming show. SBD snagged the Liono piece from his Sight Beyond Sight show in return for his “Somebody Else Ate Your Baby” piece from Nockteral Mockerty 6. TEEBEE threw in his piece from the Randall Scott opening as a birthday present to Jonah. All said and done, it was a very satisfying arty night.

WHAT? …TALENT & PHILANTHROPY!

By: JoyEngine

Collaborating is fun, just like making sandcastles by the beach. Conscious Alliance (a non-profit to help the hungry) teamed up with music group STS9 (Sound Tribe Sector Nine) and artists from JoyEngine/cypher13 to produce some rockin’ poster art. Each poster will be screen printed and be available in a limited edition of 150 prints. Also, I can’t supply you a napkin through this HTML code I am writing, but…you may want to do something about that drool…
