Indy Ink a little torn up... Of the roughly 50 artists on board for ARTCRANK Denver 2009 Indy Ink handled the printing of 24 poster designs comprised of over 50 individual color screens in just 10 days and all after hours - all as near to perfection as one can get with hand pulled screen printing. Fuck Yeah.

OJO POR OJO

By: Josh Wills

Ojo Por Ojo (Eye For Eye) is the title of Shitty Kitten’s new show at Plastic Chapel which opens February 14th! Can you tell me a better way to spend Valentine’s Day?… suriously? Shitty Kitten aka Markham Maes always comes full force, his last show on East Colfax nearly sold out… I’d suggest rolling through early if you’d like to get your greasy little mits on a piece. The super block will be lit up that night… with shows also running at The Fabric Lab (Photogrpaher: Ryan Resch) as well as The Shoppe (Theo Knox).

SECOND SATURDAY ON EAST COLFAX

By: Josh Wills

This Saturday is shaping up to be one for the books. Tons of goodness happening around town, so get out early and start making rounds. Personally I’m super stoked on the line-up that we’ve put together along the sunny and vibrant corridor of East Colfax. Scot Lefavor shows us all how to improve our lives ten fold, in his solo show Products For A Better Living at The Fabric Lab. Snowblinded (Anthony Cozzi) will be burning retnas & birthing pure light, with his first solo show Snow & Light at The Shoppe. And last but not least Plastic Chapel channels the power of time and space in the second opening of the Square Footage show.

7PM – 11PM : The Shoppe 3101 E. Colfax : The Fabric Lab 3105 E. Colfax : Plastic Chapel 3109 E. Colfax

SQUARE FOOTAGE RECAP

By: Lucian Foehr

Square Footage at the Plastic Chapel was a blast.  We had a great time making our pieces and checking out all the other great work. We have to apologize for the lack of photographs, our photographer hit the PBR hard and early (cough…Todd…cough).  The show is running all month, so go check it out!

NOTE: We feel a little explanation about our pieces is in order. Soooooo basically we roughed out the square footage of the profile of each animal and found the fraction that you could see through our 12″x12″ squares.  For example, if you held the ‘Blue Whale’ piece directly in front of your face, swam deep down into the ocean and a blue whale swam by, that’s exactly what you would see. Got it? Good.
