ALEX BOTWIN OF PNUMA…

By: JoyEngine

Our homey, Alex Botwin(one of the nastiest beat-makers on the come-up!) of the Pnuma Trio & givemebrain.net will de dropping his first solo set on Thursday, March 20th at Trilogy (right next door to our shop). It’s sure to be seriously fresh! Count bass D will be sitting in for the majority of Alex’s set (if you don’t know count he is the MC that was on MM FOOD with MF doom and also has another EP with MF doom). Phidelity from Portland, OR and local hero, DJ roots will also be rockin’ the house. Artist/dj/designer Adrien Robert aka sAne of Freestyle Movement will be making an extra-special appearance runnin’ visuals. For those of you in our neck of the woods, get ready for the kinda night you’ll wish there was a whole helluvah lot more of.

Check out a couple of Alex’s latest tracks with count here.

DJ ISIS & SOME SERIOUSLY FRESH KICKS.

By: Todd Berger

DJ ISIS & SOME SERIOUSLY FRESH KICKS. Our boy DJ ISIS is back in town, he’s been kickin’ it sAne and the PNUMA crew (who happen to be droppin beats late night tonight at Trilogy, next door - which will definitely be rad). It’s always really good to see ISIS, homeboy’s perpetually stoked, always rockin’ fresh kicks and nothin’ but positive. I’ve gotta say, I’m really jacked for Marcus, he’s on the serious up’n'up, lookin’ at droppin’ his first solo album in a few months and jet-settin’ his ass all over the place. Fresh! So… with Marcus comes dope kicks. The two go hand in hand. I got ridiculously hooked from homeyboy this visit, totally unexpectedly. I’ve been sittin’ on a pair of Vans SK8 Highs I painted up for homey a few months ago. I ran ‘em over to PNUMA HQ last night to get ‘em to ISIS and ended up walkin’ out the pad with 4 boxes of nasty sneaks. Those 4 were followed up with 4 more dropped at the shop today. 8 new pairs of kicks! What? Thanks bro. So, yo, keep your eyes and ears wide frikin ‘open for both DJ ISIS and the PNUMA trio cause both are makin’ bold moves and on the verge of blowin’ tops.
