As promised earlier in the week, we would collect as many photos as we could to show everyone how fun & fantastic the Glorification event was. I did some fixing and searching through all of my pics. Some were totally jacked but still needed to be used for their representational value and others were reshot. As I had mentioned before, I was in the Guerilla Fashion show, so I couldn’t take any shots at the INDY INK show or Ikon’s work. I will cruise back by later on and grab some fresh flicks of the pieces on display. Take a look at what I’ve collected so far and make sure to stay tuned for the Ikon vs Hack show pics.

As expected the event was awesome, and as always some did better than others. The new Plastic Chapel shop looks rad. Ryan Riss did his thing and kept people’s eyes at attention. The INDY INK show was super sick too. Hack lit shit up with his goodie graphic aerosol style. I didn’t get much of a chance to stay and check it out in detail because I was in the “Guerilla Fashion Show” and my reinforcements were no where to be found. But rest assure I will peek my head in some time this week to say whats up to the homies and get some flicks of the work. There was a “DIY” event at Capsule Gallery that I didn’t get much of a chance to peep for the same reason. Being in a fashion show is hard work. When we got back to The Fabric Lab for the final fashion show, I was ready for action. And sure enough action was there to meet me. The fashion show went super well and people seemed to be stoked. All of the artwork in The Fabric Lab was super good as well. I was surprised by some of the work I saw. Artists work I had never seen before and styles to amaze even the most particular patrons of art. I’m sure all of this would all hold more weight if I had pictures to back it all up, but I don’t. Not right now anyway. They all got fucked up so I’m gonna go to the spots and collect images of work and spaces that all of this went down at. So until then, just use your imaginations or even stop in and check it out for yourself. Sooner than later you’ll see all the magic come to fruition, right here on the JE blog. Stay tuned, same Joyengine time, same Joyengine channel for more excitement, pictures and greater explanatations of things you wish you did over the weekend.

After visiting Dea at Plastic Chapel last week, I thought I’d post this little gem of an installation in their basement. Ryan Riss aka Craptical had a show at Plastic Chapel sometime last year and totally rocked the basement of the store for his show. To my surprise, the mural was still there. Here are a few snaps…
