Witnesses say that this is the first time they have seen this seemingly sinister imagery on the calm streets of Minneapolis. Others say they have seen it before… One elderly women reportedly saw similar characters on the bus stop sign, a police car and on hipsters handbags. If you ask me, its no coincidence at all. I know the dastardly deeds of these artsy mercenaries and its no joke. First you see these “Baby Eaters” on the streets of your favorite neighborhoods, then on the clothing and accessories of your chums. Then the next thing you know it, its on your cereal boxes and in your underwear. If you ask me, its the beginning of an invasion. The mastermind behind the creation of these little creatures is of course Small But Dangerous, one of the 3 elite that run this very blog. But, don’t take it from me. Look around at the place you live, the place you call home and tell me what you see… Not even Superman himself could save us from these creative villains.

We, JoyEngine & cypher13’s founders - b.k.a. as Alex Henry, TEEBEE, and small-BUT-dangerous are preppin’ to drop our new personal sites soon. We got all excited, got crankin’, then reality hit and it was time to do some real work. Anyway, they’ll be chock full of new work, thoroughly redesigned and hittin’ the web soon. Peace.

SHOE SHINE 2007 was awesome to put it simply. Huge props go out to Musa (Pulse Arts) and Lily (FIRELILY) for throwing a righteous sneaker driven event/party. With NIKE, the400, Vitamin Water, nin/ether, Ins+allation/Sa+ellite, INDYINK, Buffalo Exchange, Platic Chapel, triggerhappy, EMAGE, yours truly, KevinKAIN Ent., BEG, LOCAL STUDS, and Education Outweighs Them All (EOTA) all kicking down to support the event it was shapin’ up to be a DOPE gathering and that’s precisely what it was. There was tons of art on display, all sorts of both custom and classic kicks, live sneaker customization, live screen printing, live graffiti via Denver’s very own Magnet Mafia, a playground style shoot out provided by our homies over at ins+allation, and steady beats all evening. Fortunately, we shot tons of great pics so we’ll let the photos do the rest of the talkin’…

SBD and I just wrapped up our pieces for the Nocturnal Mockery 6 group show coming up next week. Word on the street is that it’s gonna be one helluva show. Hopefully our shit holds up, yo!

Hello all. I’m here to formally introduce the MINION pillow. These are round 2 prototypes. My mother traveled all the way from Arizona to teach me to sew. We’ve spent the last two nights slaving away behind the sewing machine, getting everything dialed for their public debut at TB’s show - “SPACE TRAVELERS & other affiliated shit.” Watch out for the whole line (minions and eaters from both families) at a JoyEngine near you.

A little side project that’s just getting off the ground, Fight The Brand is about bringing awareness to brands that have become synonymous with a product. We’re applauding their marketing, they’ve reached the pinnacle of brand awareness, but now it’s time to crush them with some good old free thinking. So pass me a tissue, put on some lip balm and lets fight these guys/girls

The title of this post is a little misleading, the only “x” regarding me would be my arm. I’ve admired Tado for years now and they’ve been a huge influence on my work. I recently approached Mike and Katie with an idea for a tattoo. To my glee, they accepted and have been working something up. I received the final design today and promptly ran down to Bolder Ink to schedule my appointment. Well Boulder Ink is closed on mondays, so that was a let down, but tomorrow it’s on. Of course we’ll document the tattoo as it comes along, stay tuned.
