SHOE SHINE + PULSE ARTS

By: JoyEngine

Musa and Lily were just up at the shop to rap about Shoe Shine, Pulse Arts (Musa’s non-profit, the promoting power-house behind Shoe Shine), and makin’ some really dope new moves.  They’ve got some fantastic ideas, and bring a wealth of experience to the table.  We’re gonna pull in the design savvy of Cypher13, and team up to help push some of Musa’s and Lily’s ideas forward.  All sorts of fresh shit is gonna start happenin’ quicklike, so stay tuned for more.  We’re stoked!!!

COMMON PROJECTS FOOTWEAR

By: Brian Krezel

With the overwhelming amount of “colabs”, SMU colors and “limited release” sneakers these days, your choices get kinda overwhelming. And add that to the fact that your kicks gotta match your kit…next thing you know you HAVE TO HAVE, like, 30 pairs of sneakers. Then comes the little problem of some sort of occasion when you might need to dress it up a bit, (you know… a new date, meeting “her” parents or a little court appearance). You scramble around and borrow some shoes, or end up wasting your money buying some rotten old “sneaker/shoes” from the army navy store. Wasted money, wasted time, and even worse….bad footwear.

In steps Common Projects Footwear, a high end, well crafted line of footwear (and bags) for the discerning consumer. At home with jeans on the streets, or with some slacks when it’s time to play “grown-up”. Some of the same classic footwear styling we all love, supple top-shelf materials and just enough flash to keep everyone happy. Not sure about the metallic gold and silver, but who knows, right? I am sure TEEBEE will be all over the black patent lowtops…

Check Common Projects if your looking for something different…

SHOESHINE X TEEBEE13 X AIRMAX 90

By: JoyEngine

Shoeshine was a rad event. Going home with the “Best Women’s Custom” provided TEEBEE with a grip of cool shit. The best award however, had to be the gift card to nikeid.com. Being a NIKEhead, Todd got all over it and whipped up a pair of custom Airmax 90s on the site. For those of you not familiar with nikeid.com, the site puts most of the resources of a sneaker designer at your figertips and provides you the luxury of kick customization from wherever you may be. It’s not new, it’s not totally mind-blowing, but it’s fucking fun!!! Have a look. These freshies should show up at the shop in about a week.

WHO DOES?

By: JoyEngine

We do! Yup that’s right. That steezy couple of dudes are JE cats reppin’ the fresh gear. We might get dirty looks from the old stinky Boulder hippies, but we also get props from those who know. We don’t want to come off proud, we just want to let ya all know we just like to dress well…
