SWIMMY’S CEREMONY

By: JoyEngine

Here are the photos from last nights service. Thanks to everyone who came out, Swimmy would have appreciated it. The whole event was very touching, it rained really hard, which was fitting because Swimmy liked the water. The tree out front was adorned with the plaque, candles were lit, words said and 40s poured as we said goodbye to a dear friend.

NOTE: Our camera’s batteries ran out mid way through the service. Hanel from IHATEALEX.ORG picked it up from there. Unfortunately, he’s now in New Orleans, so we’re awaiting more photos.

THE PASSING OF “SWIMMY” - A SAD DAY AT JOYENGINE…

By: JoyEngine

Swimmy was our pride and joy. He was a perpetual source of inspiration and always brought smiles to our faces. On Sunday, July 29th Swimmy became ill. We did everything we could to improve his health and keep him comfortable in his time of need, however, his condition worsened into Monday. By mid-day Monday Swimmy reached the point of no return. We did our best to ease his suffering. It was rough around the shop the past couple days, and still is as we prepare for his funeral and memorial service this evening at 10pm sharp outside JoyEngine. In Swimmy’s death we shall celebrate his life. There will never be another like him. He will be deeply, deeply missed. His memory however will remain with us forever. We love you Swimmy, may you rest in peace and watch over us from above.

R.I.P. Swimmy : 2004 - 2007

SWIMMY MEMORIAL SERVICE:
Tonight, 10pm sharp out front of Joyengine

NOTE #1: The ceremony will be brief and will be followed by an evening of heavy drinking. Swimmy would’ve wanted it that way.
NOTE #2: Lifter Baron, we’re sorry you can not be here. Swimmy, in his infinite wisdom certainly understands. You can pay your proper respects upon your return.

SWIMMY - THE FISH.

By: JoyEngine

Our fish, Swimmy. The most dope fish in Boulder - 4sure. Don’t get it do you? It’s OUR blog. If we wanna post pics of our fish - damn straight… then that’s what we’re gonna do. Go make your own blog, everyone’s doin’ it. Shit, blab about your own fish.

ATTENTION: Swimmy will be “finning” autographs while we’re workin’ on our online store this afternoon from 1:00pm - 3:00pm. The line’s already out the door. You’d think we were sellin’ frikin’ BAPE t-shirts or something.

OPERATION SAVE THE FISH

By: Lucian Foehr

Swimmy is our pride and joy. Our baby. Due to gross neglect, his tank had become disgustingly dirty. You could no longer see the fish. It was just wrong, we know. Eva finally stuffed Todd in her car and wisked him off to the pet store. Todd and Swimmy are close, like this (imagine crossed fingers), just check out his handling skillz. The tank is now in pristine condition. Come by around feeding time, maybe we’ll let you drop some food in. We love you Swimmy.

Ah yes, the delicious sounds of Super Mario World for all to hear!

“The complete soundtrack to Super Mario World, covered by one man using dozens of instruments. Roughly in game order, faithful to the originals, with some bizarre artistic license thrown around. A private hobby made public.”
