THANKS FOR THE LUV!!!

By: Todd Berger

To those of you that have my back, and you know who you are, I’ve got yours.  Any time, any place.  But, you already knew that.  To  the rest of you, you work for me now.  Did you know that?  Or, did you not realize? Regardless, thanks for all the free labor at the expense of your employers, wives, children, and your own personal sanity.  In a world where time is an invaluable commodity, I couldn’t ask for more.  What a day.  I love you MOM! You did good.

THANKS FOR THE LUV!!!

TEEBEE LETS EVERYTHING OUT FOR NEW AD

By: Lifter Baron

It’s not all of the hair that surprises me, it’s the fact that this ad will never gain the recognition it should. The slogan says it all, “Going places no one has ever dreamed of…” and thats exactly what JoyEngine is doing. They are driving the artsy starship through the creative galaxy and deserve quite a bit of respect for steering this bitch through the dust and darkness. So here it is, a little something from me to them.

If you’re curious how TEEBEE got in such good shape for this ad, it’s all an optical illusion. I think the lights are reflecting off of his body hair in just the right way to make him looked all trained and shaped. Make it known that, although this is the first of its kind in JE advertising, it sure won’t be the last time. Who knows maybe it’ll be made into a calender!

TEEBEELAND: A Super Silly Painting

By: Todd Berger

So, I couldn’t sleep last night. I think it was Swindle’s totally frikin’ awesome trifecta of articles on Barry “Twist” McGee (who intentionally does not have a website, nor watches television) Blu, and James Marshall BKA “Dalek.” If any of those arty characters/master-minds are of interest to you, I’d pick up the latest copy. It’s chock full of interesting reads, from topics like modern day women of the Sudan, to the lives of garden gnomes, and there’s a grip of info on some super hot up’n'coming musical talent. Rad. However, the wheels wouldn’t stop turning and then somehow a girl got in there… one that got away. It was late, I didn’t have many materials handy, but decided to make a bit of a narrative painting. While the style and content are quite childish and naive, so am I at times (most times) and it felt appropriate. I got on it at about 2am and wrapped it at 5am. The guache, acrylic, and oil background tint I whipped up didn’t really turn out as intended, the Krylon seemed to be taking forever to dry, I recently wrecked all my small brushes customizing some kicks (I can’t really paint too well, brushes or not) and cutting stencils with a standard size single-sided razor blade, but no Exacto, really sucks (Lefavor… you feel me?). But, whatever. Making art is fun.. and therapeutic… at least until you’re done.

Ah yes, the delicious sounds of Super Mario World for all to hear!

“The complete soundtrack to Super Mario World, covered by one man using dozens of instruments. Roughly in game order, faithful to the originals, with some bizarre artistic license thrown around. A private hobby made public.”
