We’d like to present another SOFT&FURRY™ artist. Meet Dave Franzese! Based out of Brooklyn, New York Dave draws - a lot. We fell in love with his clean lines and invited him to paint some toys. Check out his site and flickr account - there’s some great stuff in there. We can’t wait to see what Dave comes up with for our little guys!

We came across ROHBY from Tiny Imports while perusing PHU!’s site. We were baffled… How the… All we can say is ROHBY has mad skills. I’ve put together a little teaser for you, because you should really go through every project on his site yourself.
You can be sure we’ll be contacting ROHBY for some S&F™ collab goodness.

Austrian Filius has put together a fun project. Download the PDF from the Bagboy site, assemble the papertoy, and take photos of him around the world - or get the template and design your own. The collection of photographs and custom Bagboy papertoys will lean themselves to an art show.

Michael Kwong from the Galaxy Bunch is getting after some custom toys! To celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Galaxy Bunch, Michael plans on touring the world with over 100 custom 8in Alpha Ultimate toys. He sent us some pictures of his first 9 (which already sold so he’ll have to make 109 now!). First off, the Alpha Ultimate blank is amazing, secondly, Michael is doing a phenomenal job customizing it! We can’t wait to keep tabs on his progress, you can keep up too via his site and flickr account!

Just saw TADO’s new mini series with KidRobot - Cannible Funfair. We’ve seen tons of TADO’s work on all sorts of toys, but this time they got to design the figures. There will be 17 characters in total. Tulip will also be dropping in 7in of vinyl glory! Way to go M+K!

Phu! just completed his 10″ custom YOKA Panda for Cardboard Spaceship’s upcoming exhibition ‘Beasts of Burden’ at Subtext in San Diego. The Avatar 7 patrol spacecraft comes with 2 Rebel Pilots. Avatar 7 was brought to life utilizing cardboard, cable ties, hose clamps, plastic bottle camps, plastic hose, wire and of course Phu!’s signature extra-nasty paint steez. Wicked.

Just caught a sneak peak of Crazy Label’s upcoming toy Monster Burp by Peskimo. I would say that this is by far one of the coolest toys I’ve seen in quite some time - can’t wait for it to come out!

The mysterious S&F™ line of hand-made art toys is rumored to be progressing nicely. It better be cuz there seems to be quite a few designers out there competing for the winning logo. It’s pretty amazing to see how exicted people get about designer toys these days and the SOFT&FURRY™ logo design contest is clearly a testament to a growing a number of zealous collectible toy fans. The contest is in its fourth week, so we thought we’d drop a little update highlighting the first three weeks winners:
Week 3: Lifter Baron - Week 2: Dustin Kemper - Week 1: Ivan Pashenko
